CBG Cannabigerol – How Many Cannabis Strains Are There?!
CBG, cannabigerol is part of the different cannabinoids found in hemp.
Almost all types of cannabis that is used either for medical or recreational purposes have small amounts of CBG – at most 1%.
Cannabigerol is a cannabis compound that has no psychoactive effects. Only very low levels of CBG are found in cannabis strains and thus it is considered as a minor cannabinoid.
It is also very important to keep in mind that opposed to THC, CBG produces no “high” side effects.
Surprisingly however, other cannabinoids such as CBD and THC are initially formed as CBG, which is the chemical parent of these cannabinoids. In the same contexts, CBGa is the forerunner of each of THCa, CBDa, and CBCa.
CBG Cannabis Benefits
Few studies have showed that CBG, Cannabigerol is able to act as a powerful treatment for many health conditions. Through different studies, many CBG benefits were identified, among them are:
- Minimizing intraocular pressure and effectively treating glaucoma
- Effectively reducing any inflammatory symptoms, especially inflammatory bowel disease.
- Fighting cancer by preventing cancer cells from spreading, and thus breaking down the growth of cancer.
- Reducing the symptoms of all bacteria based health conditions.
- Hindering any muscle contractions
Because CBGa has no psychoactive effects, a lot of research suggests that it will have many positive and promising applications for many other health conditions such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and so on.
